We are looking for a supervisor to join Watkinsons Shoes in York. We are looking for someone who ideally has previous retail experience with a can-do attitude, an interest in social media , shoes and e-commerce. This is a full time or a four day per week position. We are looking for someone to start immediately.
This role will include one day per week-end and also involves at least 3 days per week of key holding duties.
Watkinsons Shoes, established in 1904, is an award-winning shoe store located in the heart of York. Watkinsons is an independent shoe retailer and sells many shoe brands from across the globe for men, ladies and children. We are exceptionally proud of our strong customer service and have one of the largest selections of shoes available in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- To offer an exceptional level of customer service and provide a pleasant in-store experience.
- To know all brands we offer and to be able to up-sell.
- To lock and unlock the shop when required.
- To be interested in fashion, footwear, retail and trends.
- To respond to customer enquiries via phone and email.
- To get to know the products and assist customers in finding the best product.
- Deal with payments, operate the till and credit card machine.
- To assist with e-commerce packing, orders and refunds.
- To upload products to our website.
- Ensuring that all shop tasks are completed daily including stock room management.
