At Smarty Pants, we believe in Nurture, Belonging, Curiosity, Growth and Partnership. We’re looking for a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Manager to join our nursery family.
This role is primarily based within our Preschool Room, leading the team and supporting children as they prepare for school. Alongside this, you’ll receive 1 hour of dedicated management time each week to work alongside our Nursery Manager, learning office systems and supporting with administration, helping you feel confident leading the nursery whenever required.
We also provide 30 minutes of protected time each week to complete observations and learning journeys.
What we’re looking for:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
- Experience leading a room within an early years setting
- Good safeguarding knowledge
- A good understanding of the EYFS
- A positive team player with excellent communication skills
- A passion for providing outstanding care and education
- Someone who shares our nursery values and wants to continue developing as a leader
