About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Factory Assembler/Fitter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will work collaboratively to build high-quality electrical switchgear for industrial applications, taking raw components through to a polished, finished product.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives in a team environment but possesses the self-motivation to drive tasks through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly: Perform all aspects of factory assembly work to deliver a completed product.
- Precision Fitting: Utilize core mechanical fitting skills to ensure components meet strict manufacturing specifications.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain excellent working practices, ensuring absolute awareness of and adherence to Health & Safety (H&S) regulations on the factory floor.
- Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the production team while taking personal ownership of your daily throughput.
What We Are Looking For
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Core Mechanical Skills: High proficiency in all basic mechanical fitting and hand-tool skills is essential.
- Safety First Mindset: A strong commitment to workshop safety and best practices.
- Drive: Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision when required.
Desirable (But Not Essential):
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A current ECS Card is a distinct advantage. (Note: If you do not hold one, we will support and fund your certification in a suitable time frame).
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
