Job Title: Site Engineer – Mechanical
Reporting To: Managing Director
Department: Servicing & Installation
Purpose of role: To work as a Team member to provide a combination of installation, repairs and servicing of various types of doors, but mainly Rhino Doors, including all associated hardware and components.

Install, service and maintain the Rhino Groups range of doors including Sliding-folding bi fold doors, side hinged doors and fire doors. All doors can be Mechanical or Electrically operated.
We also install and maintain other manufacturers doors.
Provide an innovative and technically aware approach to problem solving.
Comply with all Health & Safety requirements. (All Mechanical Engineers will be required to have CSCS Cards as a minimum, electricians to have a JIB Card, but all Supervisors will require SSSTS cards).
Either Lead or be a member of a team of fitters, to ensure the project is completed within the allocated time and to the high standards required.
Ability to work with Power Tools (Drills, Grinders, etc.)
All HSE and company paperwork is completed and returned to the office after the project has been completed.
Ensure appropriate audits and checks are carried out on Rhino equipment in line with relevant standards.
Receive and put into action all written and verbal instructions as required.
Ability to read and following installation drawings.
Work or lead a small team of between 3- 6.
Much of our work requires the candidate to undergo Security Clerance, which will include background checks, references for the previous 3 years employment, 5-year UK residential checks, a medical and complete random Drugs and Alcohol checks.
Desirable
- Knowledge of high-security or automated door systems
- IPAF / PASMA / SSSTS certifications
- Forklift or Telehandler licence
This role is National, so the relevant candidate will be working away from home for a large percentage of the time, which could include the odd weekend, this includes travelling to site, depending on site location.
Our Depots are at Port Talbot, South Wales and Bamber Bridges, Preston, Lancashire, so the candidates must live within a commutable distance as there is no dedicated vehicle with this position.
Pay: £34,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
