Duties
- Monitor residents or clients overnight, responding swiftly to their needs or emergencies
- Assist with personal care tasks such as repositioning or toileting during the night
- Follow individualized care plans to deliver tailored support and ensure safety protocols are maintained
- Maintain accurate records of any incidents, observations, or changes in condition during your shift
- Communicate effectively with daytime staff and family members regarding any important updates or concerns
- Use IT systems to document care activities and update resident records securely and efficiently
- Support residents’ comfort by adjusting bedding, providing reassurance, and ensuring a peaceful environment
Requirements
- Strong communication skills in English to interact clearly with residents, families, and team members
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is highly desirable
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and responsibly
- Valid driving license is preferred for roles involving community-based support or travel between locations
- Basic IT literacy to operate electronic records systems confidently
- Compassionate attitude with a proactive approach to resident safety and well-being
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts on a regular basis
