Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Person/General Builder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of building, repair, and maintenance tasks across diverse projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on domestic and contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and efficient project completion. The ideal applicant will possess a broad range of construction skills, including carpentry, masonry, and groundwork with a strong focus on safety and precision.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble structural components using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications.
- Perform carpentry and joinery tasks, including framing, fitting, and finishing work.
- Conduct roofing repairs or installations ensuring weather-tightness and durability.
- Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate project progress.
- Complete masonry work including bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete pouring as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in general building trades including carpentry, masonry, groundwork’s and steel installations.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment relevant to construction tasks.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication, assembly processes, and joinery techniques.
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction trades are advantageous but not essential.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Commitment to health and safety standards on-site.
