Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Campervan Converter to join our team in transforming standard vans into customised, fully functional campervans. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, be capable of working with various tools, and enjoy hands-on work. The Campervan Converter will be responsible for the installation and modification of interior components, electrical systems, and other features essential for a fully equipped campervan.
Duties
- Install and assemble interior fittings such as beds, cabinets, and storage units within campervans.
- Fit electrical systems including lighting, power outlets, and auxiliary wiring as per design specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble various components accurately.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during the conversion process.
- Perform modifications to van structures to accommodate new fittings or systems.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace throughout each project phase.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle or furniture conversions preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, chisels, etc.
- Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and sanders safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky materials.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure precise fitting and finishing.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks comfortably.
