MAX Automotive Group Ltd is continuing to grow and is looking for an experienced Plant Fitter / Plant Technician to join our expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive business supporting a wide range of plant, powered access, fleet, commercial vehicles and specialist equipment across workshop and mobile operations.
The Role
As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, diagnostics and repair of a variety of plant and machinery including:
Mini Diggers
Dumpers
Telehandlers
Powered Access Equipment
Generators
Small Plant Equipment
Commercial & Specialist Machinery
You will be expected to diagnose faults, carry out repairs efficiently and ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Servicing and maintenance of plant and machinery
- Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault finding
- Diagnostics and repair work
- Inspection and preparation of equipment
- Breakdown response and repairs
- Completion of job cards and inspection reports
- Ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently
- Supporting workshop and mobile service operations
- Carrying out and recording LOLER inspections where qualified and authorised
- Travelling to customer sites as required
- Occasional overnight stays may be required depending on workload and customer requirements
What We're Looking For
Previous plant fitting experience
Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge
Diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience working on construction, industrial or powered access equipment
LOLER inspection experience desirable
HGV and Light Commercial Vehicle experience desirable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK Driving Licence
Plant qualifications, LOLER certified, NVQ or equivalent
