Job Scope
· Have experience of working in manufacturing (preferably electrical).
· Be skilled in the use of a variety of hand & power tools, including but not limited to crimping pliers, soldering iron, drills, jigsaws.
· Be able to read & follow assembly drawings & parts lists (BOM’s), wiring diagrams & schematic diagrams
· Be able to wire in a neat & timely manner with a keen eye for detail
· Be self-motivated & able to work with minimum supervision. Good time keeping is essential
· Be able to work individually or as part of a team.
· Be conscious of health & safety & have good housekeeping skills.
· Provide support in the organisation & stock check of commonly used parts & consumables
· Provide support to commissioning & test engineers in preparation for customer witness tests/factory acceptance tests (FAT’s).
Qualifications and Experience (desirable but not essential):
- Served a full Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship. (Minimum NVQ Level 3)
- Wiring of control panels and low voltage wiring.
- Familiarity with red & green drawings commonly used in the power generation industry.
