Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Butcher/Driver. This role combines food preparation and delivery responsibilities within a dynamic food production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meat products, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and delivering products efficiently to our clients. A background in culinary arts, food safety, or restaurant experience is highly desirable. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills in butchery and logistics within a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meat products according to company standards, including butchery and portioning
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food handling and preparation
- Assist in food production processes, contributing to the overall quality of products
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver orders to clients in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including storage and preparation zones
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and recording deliveries
- Adhere to all health and safety policies during food handling and transportation activities
Experience
- Previous experience in food production, culinary arts, or restaurant environments is preferred
- Knowledge of butchery techniques and food preparation processes is highly advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential
- Experience operating vehicles for delivery purposes is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- A valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicle operation is required
