Domiciliary Care Worker
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and dedicated Domiciliary Care Worker to join our team.
You will support individuals in their own homes with daily living tasks, personal care and emotional wellbeing. The role focuses on helping each person remain as independent, safe and comfortable as possible.
You may support older adults, people living with dementia, and individuals who require palliative or end of life care.
Key Duties
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting etc
- Supporting clients with mobility, transfers and safe movement.
- Supporting medication in line with care plans, company policy and relevant training.
- Preparing light meals and drinks while following dietary needs and preferences.
- Carrying out light household tasks, including laundry, cleaning and basic home organisation.
- Following individual care plans and recording care provided accurately.
- Supporting clients to attend appointments, activities or community visits where required.
- Reporting any concerns or changes in a client’s health or wellbeing promptly.
- Maintaining each client’s dignity, privacy, choice and independence at all times.
Requirements
We are looking for applicants who:
- Have a caring, respectful and responsible approach.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can follow care plans and instructions accurately.
- Are reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Are willing to complete all required mandatory training.
- Are willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
- Can provide satisfactory employment references.
A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred, due to the nature of domiciliary care and travel between clients.
Training and Compliance
Mandatory training will be provided to ensure you have the knowledge and skills required for the role.
An Enhanced DBS check will be carried out as part of the recruitment process.
References will be requested before employment is confirmed.
