Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on complex Children in Need and Child Protection cases, ensuring high-quality interventions
- Provide practice leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members
- Complete robust assessments, care planning, and risk management
- Chair and contribute to strategy discussions, core groups, and case conferences
- Work closely with multi-agency professionals to deliver coordinated safeguarding plans
- Ensure all work is compliant with statutory frameworks, legislation, and best practice
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Significant experience within Children in Need / Child Protection teams
- Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and provide leadership support
- Strong knowledge of UK safeguarding legislation and frameworks
- Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills
