About Us
Almond Care Providers operates specialist supported living services for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs across South London.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative to work alongside our Property & Maintenance Manager, helping maintain and improve our growing portfolio of supported living homes.
This is not a new build site role. The position involves reactive maintenance, planned works, refurbishments and ensuring our homes remain safe, compliant and of a high standard.
The Role
You'll be responsible for carrying out a wide variety of maintenance works including:
- General building maintenance
- Carpentry
- Plumbing repairs
- Painting & decorating
- Tiling
- Flooring repairs
- Kitchen and bathroom repairs
- Door and lock repairs
- Basic plastering
- Minor electrical works (non-certifiable)
- Fencing and external repairs
- Garden maintenance when required
- Property inspections
- Assisting with refurbishments between tenancies
- Emergency call-outs on a rota basis
You'll also:
- Support and mentor junior maintenance operatives
- Help plan maintenance schedules
- Liaise with external contractors
- Ensure work is completed safely and professionally
- Maintain excellent relationships with our care teams
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in property maintenance
- Excellent all-round trade skills
- Confident working independently
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable working within occupied care homes
- Able to pass an enhanced DBS check

- City & Guilds or NVQ qualification
- Plumbing qualification
- Carpentry qualification
- PASMA
- IPAF
- Asbestos Awareness

- First Aid
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Fire door experience

Working Hours
Monday to Friday
8:00am–5:00pm
Overtime available
Optional emergency call-out rota
Pay: £200.00-£260.00 per day
