Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment across various commercial premises. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment, with an emphasis on professionalism and attention to detail. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The successful applicant must demonstrate a strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces within commercial settings
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas according to health and safety standards
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used correctly and maintained in good condition
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Adhere to scheduled cleaning times to minimise disruption to clients or staff
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
