We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in . The candidate must have a valid license, and car and only send applications if you are willing to drive to areas such as Ockendon, Purfleet Aveley and Gray's
Duties
- Provide direct support to clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting as required, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with diverse needs, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any changes in condition.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages independence while ensuring the well-being of clients.
- Engage in case management activities to coordinate care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Utilise medical terminology appropriately when discussing client care with other professionals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care, home care, or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
- Certification in First Aid is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and behaviour management strategies.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to client interaction.
- A commitment to maintaining the dignity and respect of all clients.
