The Savvy Fox Gastro Pub is growing, now in it's second year, the Pub is growing nicely with regualr trade, overnight hotel guests and loyal patrons visiting this family friendly Gastro Pub. Nestled within Hotel Wrexham, and benefiting from also event led operations including Weddings, Funerals and private events, we are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to help support and lead our teams with enthusiasm and expertise.
In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your leadership will inspire team members to deliver memorable dining experiences while maintaining high standards of food safety and operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation, cooking, serving, and barista services to ensure smooth operation
- Lead and motivate team members, fostering a positive work environment focused on teamwork and excellence
- Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and proper handling of food production processes
- Manage daily inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to prevent shortages or waste
- Train staff on culinary techniques, customer service standards, and safety procedures to uphold quality standards
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guests receive outstanding service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop menu offerings, optimize food presentation, and improve operational workflows
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within the food and beverage industry, preferably in restaurant or hotel settings
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques with an understanding of food safety standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a collaborative environment
- Extensive restaurant experience including serving, barista work, or hospitality roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food production processes, kitchen operations, and hospitality best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff and engage with guests professionally
- Prior experience in hotel or restaurant environments is a plus; certifications related to food safety are preferred
