Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher
£16.85 per hour | Permanent
Location: Stretford Leisure Centre
Hours: Saturday mornings, 8:30am – 1pm or 9am – 1pm
We’re looking for a qualified Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join our well-established and thriving swim programme at Stretford Leisure Centre.
As part of a supportive and experienced aquatics team, you’ll help children and adults develop confidence in the water, learn an essential life skill, and achieve their swimming goals through the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking for consistent weekend hours, with the potential to pick up additional teaching hours across Trafford Leisure as opportunities arise.

The Role
As a Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher, you’ll deliver safe, engaging and inclusive swimming lessons for children and adults, creating positive experiences that help swimmers progress and thrive.
You’ll play an important role in developing swimmers’ confidence, technique and enjoyment of the water, while helping to maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for participants and their families.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering structured swimming lessons for children and adults
- Assessing swimmers in line with the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework
- Monitoring and recording swimmer progress
- Supporting swimmers to achieve awards and progression milestones
- Building positive relationships with swimmers, parents and colleagues
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and enjoyable learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification
- A passion for helping people learn and succeed
- A positive, reliable and enthusiastic approach
- Confidence in leading lessons independently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
