We're a friendly mixed NHS and private practice in Glasgow's West End (G11), a short walk from Jordanhill station and well connected by bus, recruiting a trainee dental nurse to join our experienced nursing team.
No experience needed — full training provided:
- You train for the SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing while working, through an SQA-approved training centre
- The qualification involves workbooks, coursework and study outside working hours, in your own time
- Training costs fully funded — the course is free to you
- Qualification leads to registration with the General Dental Council as a Dental Nurse
- Full support and supervision from an experienced team
What we're looking for:
- A genuine interest in dentistry and patient care — tell us why in your application
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable talking to patients of all ages
- Easy to get along with — we're a small, close team and how you work with colleagues matters as much as how you work
- National 4/5s (or equivalent) including English — required for enrolment on the training course
- Able to reliably commute to the practice (G11) for an 8:00am start
Perfect first step into dentistry for school leavers — this year's or recent.
Please note: the rate of pay reflects that this is a trainee position — you're learning on the job while we fund your qualification.
How selection works: shortlisted candidates will be invited to a short video call, and successful candidates from that stage will then be invited to an in-person interview at the practice.
Any offer is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including PVG scheme membership (which we arrange) and occupational health clearance including Hepatitis B immunisation.
Start date: September 2026 — flexible for the right candidate.
