Westfield Fasteners Ltd. - Warehouse Operative
We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our busy and expanding team. The position is based at our warehouse in rural Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire. We are in the hardware business distributing and retailing fasteners to our world wide range of customers, mainly via our e-commerce platform. Throughout the last decade we have established ourselves as a leading UK supplier. We have now made the decision to expand and streamline the structure of our Warehouse team.
The key role of the Warehouse Operative is to undertake the day-to-day tasks in our warehouse ensuring that they are being completed in a timely manner, and contribute to it’s smooth running operation.
You must be comfortable working in a busy environment with a can-do attitude, have a willingness to learn, great attention to detail and show great manners.
Job purpose:
To work individually and as part of a team, sharing in the efficient completion of the multitude of tasks involved in the daily running of our warehouse and distribution centre.
Duties:
- Pick, pack, issue and despatch customer orders.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with third party logistics agencies to ensure despatch promises are kept.
- Learn and operate the company's bespoke computer system.
- Contribute toward maintaining stock level accuracy according to current company policy.
- Receive and process deliveries of both replenishment and new stock.
- Check new goods, book in, quality check, label on arrival and store away in designated area, operating the company’s software and in line with company procedures.
- Carry out any ad-hoc tasks that are identified as required.
- Contribute toward Westfield Fasteners' continual growth.
Experience:
- Previous experience of working in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Previous knowledge of fasteners is advantageous.
- Valid fork lift licence is advantageous.

Hours:
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm. Please make sure these hours of work are practical for you before applying for the role.

Salary:
The salary for this role will be depending on previous experience and skills.
