The Role
We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking HGV Paint Prepper to join our team in Hull. This role is key to ensuring all vehicles are prepared to the highest standard prior to painting, with a view to progressing to paint.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare HGVs and commercial vehicles for paint, including sanding, masking, and cleaning
- Remove rust, dents, and imperfections from vehicle bodies
- Apply primers and undercoats as required
- Ensure surfaces are properly prepared for paint spraying
- Assist paint sprayers where required
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Follow all health and safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a vehicle preparation or bodyshop role (HGV/commercial preferred)
- Knowledge of sanding, masking, and prepping techniques
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good time management skills
Desirable
- Experience working on HGVs, trailers, or fleet vehicles
- Basic knowledge of paint systems and processes
- NVQ/City & Guilds in Vehicle Body Repair (or similar)

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
