Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom cabinets and furniture pieces using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques to ensure precise dimensions and finishes
- Assemble cabinet components with attention to detail, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal
- Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently during fabrication and assembly processes
- Measure, cut, shape, and finish wood materials according to project specifications
- Collaborate with project managers and designers to interpret plans and modify designs as needed
- Perform construction painting, finishing, and touch-ups to achieve a polished final product
- Assist in heavy lifting of materials and components to maintain workflow efficiency while adhering to safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery within a woodworking or construction environment
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as chisels, saws, drills, and screwdrivers
- Proficient with power tools including routers, sanders, drills, and saws for precise cutting and shaping
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, masonry or electrical systems is a plus but not required; must be open to learning new skills as needed
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during material handling and installation processes
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques for finishing touches on cabinetry or fixtures
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in workshop settings is highly desirable
