Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Tyre Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial vehicle tyres, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at all times. Duties
- Remove and replace commercial vehicle tyres using hand tools and power tools with precision and care
- Conduct tyre inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential issues requiring maintenance or replacement
- Perform wheel balancing, alignment checks, and other maintenance tasks to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Assist customers by providing expert advice on tyre selection, maintenance needs, and safety procedures
- Use heavy lifting techniques safely to handle large tyres and equipment during fitting and removal processes
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including repairs, replacements, and inspections
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during tyre fitting operations to protect yourself and colleagues
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and tyre fitting processes
- Experience with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers; familiarity with power tools is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics during tyre handling tasks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures for commercial vehicles is desirable
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks efficiently
- Commitment to safety standards and attention to detail in all aspects of work
