Hinckley Motor Spares is a family‑run motor factors business, proudly serving the local community and garages for over 10 years. As our trade customer base continues to grow, we’re looking for a reliable and friendly Delivery Driver to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone with a positive mindset, a natural smile, and a genuine desire to build great relationships with our customers. Attention to detail and pride in your work are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick vehicle parts from the shelf ready for delivery
- Organise parts in the correct order for efficient delivery routes
- Communicate your delivery route with the team
- Deliver parts quickly and efficiently using one of our company vans
- Follow our delivery and returns protocol (WhatsApp Delivery Chat)
- Collect customer returns and complete the returns book/returns process
- Take cash and card payments when required
- Support with occasional paperwork and front‑counter service
- Drive safely and courteously, following the Road Traffic Act and company procedures
- Report any licence endorsements or pending prosecutions immediately
- Keep the vehicle clean and carry out weekly checks (oil, water, battery, lights, tyres, fuel)
- Report any new vehicle damage promptly
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including goods‑in, checking deliveries, and putting stock away
- Support management with any additional tasks when not delivering
- Heavy lifting is required
Hours
- Monday to Friday: 9.00am – 5.00pm
- One Saturday per month: 9.00am – 4.00pm
- Contracted hours: 25–45 hours per week
- Hours may be reduced during quieter periods or at management discretion
Skills & Experience
- Clean Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous van driving or similar experience preferred
- Ability to lift heavy items and carry out physical tasks
- Age 25+ (insurance requirement)
