Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. Experience with refrigerated trailers is preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate refrigerated lorries to transport goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and operational standards.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role within commercial driving.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Attention to detail in maintaining records and ensuring vehicle safety.
