Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lessons on health and social care topics, including current practices, policies, and ethical considerations
- Design engaging curriculum materials that incorporate the latest industry standards and innovative teaching methods
- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their growth
- Facilitate classroom discussions that enhance communication skills, critical thinking, and teamwork among students
- Support students’ practical learning experiences by coordinating placements or internships in relevant settings
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student achievements in accordance with institutional policies
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop departmental initiatives aimed at improving teaching quality and student engagement
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching or training within health and social care environments
- NHS expexerience (preffered)
- Strong command of English language skills for effective communication and instruction
- Knowledge of plumbing systems can be an asset for practical demonstrations or facility maintenance topics within the curriculum
- Excellent organizational skills to manage lesson planning, student assessments, and administrative tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in IT tools such as educational software, presentation platforms, and online learning management systems
- Exceptional communication skills to engage students from diverse backgrounds and foster a positive learning environment
- Relevant qualifications in health or social care fields; a teaching qualification or experience is highly desirable
