Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled HGV Drainage Vac Tanker Operator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) equipped with vacuum tankers designed for drainage and waste removal services. Your expertise will ensure efficient, safe, and environmentally compliant operations while maintaining high standards of service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV vacuum tanker trucks to perform drainage, waste removal, and tankering tasks across various sites.
- Conduct thorough pre-operational inspections of vehicles and equipment, including checking fluid levels, safety devices, and mechanical components.
- Connect and disconnect hoses, fittings, and hand tools to facilitate efficient waste transfer processes.
- Use power tools and hand tools for maintenance, minor repairs, or adjustments to equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of all operations, including waste volumes transferred, routes taken, and safety checks performed.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, environmental policies, and company procedures during all operations.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV driving license with relevant endorsements for tanker operations.
- Mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and power tools for maintenance or repairs.
- Welding ski
- Strong understanding of health and safety protocols related to vehicle operation and waste management.
- Ability to work independently in outdoor environments while maintaining high safety standards.
