Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Agricultural Engineer to join our close knit team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems. With practical experience in fault finding and repairs of agricultural equipment, and mobile machinery with hydraulic systems, and used to working with a variety of machinery.
Responsibilities
- Occasional fabrication, welding, and assembly of mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams to facilitate repairs and modifications.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery such as tractors, excavators, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
- Repair of some electrical systems and components
- Bespoke hydraulic system design and installation
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues
- Liaising with customers advising on repairs of their equipment
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts and telehandlers safely within designated work areas.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering within an agricultural or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair including heavy machinery such as tractors, and telehandlers.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical components, and general maintenance procedures.
- Customer service experience is advantageous for providing technical support to clients or team members.
For the successful candidate, a vehicle is provided. Overtime available paid at 1.5x hourly rate.
