Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and reliable General Builder to join our team.
The Role
As a General Builder, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide variety of building and maintenance works on commercial projects. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- General building works including brickwork, blockwork, concreting, and repairs.
- Basic carpentry, plastering, tiling, and finishing tasks.
- Refurbishment and fit-out works on commercial properties.
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance works.
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Working alongside subcontractors and site management teams.
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Builder within the construction industry.
- Strong all-round building skills and practical knowledge.
- Ability to work from drawings and specifications.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
- CSCS Card preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Desirable Qualifications
- SMSTS or SSSTS (advantageous but not essential).
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience working on commercial refurbishment or fit-out projects.
- Additional trade qualifications.

Pay: £18.00-£24.00 per hour
