Working in our colour laboratory, you will play a key role in developing, matching, testing, and maintaining ceramic colour systems to ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Key Responsibilities
Prepare, mix, and formulate ceramic colours and inks.
Carry out colour matching to customer specifications.
Test and evaluate colours for consistency, quality, and performance.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and technical documentation.
Assist with the development of new products and colour formulations.
Support production teams with colour-related technical issues.
Ensure all laboratory activities are conducted safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and materials.
Skills and Experience -
Essential -
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Passion for and pride in Stoke-on-Trent manufacturing. We want team members who recognise the importance of preserving and advancing the city's reputation for excellence in ceramics and who are excited to contribute to that legacy every day.
Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer literacy.
A proactive and problem-solving approach.
Desirable but not essential -
Experience in ceramics, printing, inks, pigments, coatings, or colour matching.
Knowledge of colour measurement and colour management techniques.
Laboratory experience within a manufacturing environment.
A qualification in Chemistry, Materials Science, Ceramics, or a related discipline.
