Shelley Park Neuro Care Centre is a specialist neurological care provider located in Bournemouth, Dorset. We offer a service that is not only unique but both progressive and innovative in its field. A service developed over 30 years; our team continues to expand as we hand pick individuals to join us in achieving greatness. Our service not only offers Nursing and Residential care, but rehabilitation and transitional pathways consisting of intensive therapy programmes to regain independence. Based over 3 units, accommodating up to 45 service users our service continues to evolve and respond to the world around us.

Our expectations of Registered Nurses within Shelley Park Neuro Care Centre:
- You will have a current NMC registration and CPD portfolio which provides evidence of your commitment to ensuring your practice is evidence-based, current and progressive.
- You are aware of your Revalidation date and demonstrate ongoing Reflective Practice.
- You will demonstrate the clinical skills required of this specialist field, where necessary highlighting areas of your practice that require further training and development to ensure safe practice is maintained at all times.
- You will have impeccable communication and interpersonal skills. This is paramount in successfully engaging with our service users, leading the team and building rapport among the wider multidisciplinary team.
- You have an understanding of CQC requirements and how to achieve Outstanding.
- You will have the time management skills to maintain balance throughout your day and ensure all needs of the service are met in a professional and timely manner.
- You will respect confidentiality as you negotiate sensitive conversations with family members and specialist health professionals.
- You will support your colleagues and develop roles further through clinical supervision and appraisals.
- You will be an advocate for our service users, many of whom are vulnerable and unable to express their views and feelings articulately.
- You will take responsibility for Medication Administration, Care Planning and documentation and have a sound understanding of Mental Capacity, Safeguarding and Deprivation of Liberty.
- You recognise the signs of clinical deterioration and escalate appropriately, whilst remaining calm and compassionate.
- You share the vision of the service and strive to achieve greatness.
