We are looking for an experienced FP&A Lead to support one of our key clients in strengthening and maturing their Financial Planning & Analysis function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building capability, standardising processes and working closely with senior business stakeholders.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced FP&A Lead to work alongside an existing FP&A Manager, providing leadership, coaching and strategic guidance to elevate the maturity of the FP&A function.
The successful candidate will lead the standardisation and improvement of FP&A processes, enhance reporting and planning capabilities, and build strong relationships across Finance and the wider business. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving consistency, improving decision support and embedding best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance leadership to develop and strengthen the FP&A function.
- Mentor, coach and support the existing FP&A team, helping develop capability and confidence.
- Standardise FP&A processes, planning cycles and reporting across the organisation.
- Review and improve budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
- Drive consistency in management reporting, KPI dashboards and financial analysis.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.
- Challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Support strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis.
- Ensure robust governance, controls and documentation of FP&A processes.
- Promote best practice across planning, forecasting and business partnering activities.
- Identify opportunities to automate and simplify reporting where appropriate.
- Support change initiatives and help embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Significant experience within Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
- Proven experience leading or mentoring FP&A teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Experience standardising and improving finance processes.
- Excellent budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling experience.
- Strong commercial acumen and business partnering capability.
- Experience presenting financial insights to senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience using modern reporting and planning tools.
Desirable
- Experience within a transformation or change environment.
- Experience implementing FP&A best practices.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Dynamics.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other reporting tools.
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Candidates should be based within commuting distance of London and willing to attend client sites as required.

Pay: Up to £80,000.00 per year
