JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Duty Manager
Reporting to: General Manager / Deputy General Manager
Department: Management
Main Duties & Responsibilities
· Support the General Manager and Assistant Managers with the day-to-day running of the hotel.
· Ensure the highest of standards are adhered to within the hotel, take personal responsibility that every guest experience is faultless, host, meet and greet guests.
· Ensure the Health & Safety of guests and staff throughout a shift paying particular attention to minimising any risk associated with Fire safety.
· Particularly, allocate time to converse with all guests to ensure their satisfaction with food, service and any other matter.
· Deal with all guest complaints and be conversant with the guest comments/complaints procedures as set out by the General Manager.
· Assist & support Heads of Departments to ensure the smooth running of their departments and help to resolve any problems to ensure a smooth guest experience.
· Perform duties as per the early/late duty checklist, including sleepover duties when necessary.
· Assist with minor maintenance problems and inform maintenance team where necessary.
· Be ‘hands on’ in other departments if the need arises and be available to cover staff shortages where necessary.
· Carry out any other reasonable request or task as directed by the General Manager or the Directors.
· Be the first point of contact for all events, meet prospective and future clients to sell the venue and drive the business forward.
Health & Safety
You must ensure that all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to at all times, this includes the fire procedures and COSHH regulations, all of which you will be made aware of. Please ensure that you report any faults or infringements of these procedures or act immediately where appropriate to correct them. You have a duty to carry out work so that you never put yourself or others at risk, creating a safer working environment for everyone
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
