Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pot Washer/Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting the overall operation of our restaurant or hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn about food preparation and kitchen procedures. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Responsible for thoroughly washing and sanitising pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior kitchen staff.
- Support the cleaning and organisation of kitchen work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Help with setting up and clearing dining areas during service times.
- Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen environment.
- Support the team during busy periods by performing various duties as required to ensure smooth operation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of restaurant or hotel kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene standards and safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary sector.
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
