We are looking for committed and compassionate individuals to join and strengthen our small team of friendly and caring homecare support workers. Being a support worker is a very varied role ranging from providing social/companionship visits to our customers to supporting them with personal care and housekeeping. Being a support worker with Optimal Homecare Services also means you are part of a small friendly team, who support each other.
Main duties include:
- Personal care
- Prompting/overseeing medication
- Shopping
- Meal preparation
- Companionship/social visits
- Household tasks
What we offer:
- Excellent hourly rate £14 per hour
- Staff are paid at the full hourly rate for travel time between customers visits

- Cost of DBS refunded on successfully completing 3 months probation
- Up to 5.6 weeks paid holiday per annum (pro rata)

Optimal Homecare Services provides a range of domiciliary care services in the Halifax/ Bradford/ Huddersfield area so successful candidates would travel to these areas.

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Support Workers to provide individual care and support to our customers. As a Home Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting customers with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. ```Responsibilities:```
- Provide personal care assistance to our customers, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including the use of assistive devices
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding, adhering to dietary restrictions if applicable
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up living areas and doing laundry
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Monitor and report any changes in customer's condition or well being
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by supervisors or healthcare professionals

- Ability to use moving and handling equipment as required
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and ability to accommodate dietary needs
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and their families
- Patience, compassion, and empathy towards individuals requiring care
- Ability to manage challenging circumstances with professionalism and sensitivity
