We're looking for a Product Engineer to join our client's engineering team in London. This is not a traditional software engineering role - you'll own problems from inception through to production, working across product, engineering, and AI to build systems that solve real problems for some of the world's largest companies.
The role is highly hands-on and product-focused. You'll speak directly with customers, understand their problems, shape solutions, prototype, build, ship, and iterate based on feedback. You don't need to fit into a narrow engineering lane - the team values people with strong fundamentals who can operate across the stack and take full ownership of what they build.
Who we're looking for:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of actually shipping products
- AI-native mindset - comfortable building with LLMs and genuinely interested in how AI systems behave, fail, and improve
- Experience shipping agentic systems - side projects and hackathons count
- Strong product instincts and a genuine drive to solve customer problems
- Comfortable working across the stack, whether your strength is frontend, backend, or full-stack
- High-agency, pragmatic, and comfortable operating in ambiguity without waiting for detailed instructions
- Someone who cares more about the quality of their thinking and what they've shipped than simply matching a particular list of technologies
What you'll own:
- The full lifecycle of product development - from requirements gathering and research through experimentation, implementation, and iteration
- Building AI-native product features and agentic systems
- Working directly with customers to understand their problems and shape product direction
- Developing across frontend, backend, and LLM workflows depending on what the problem requires
- Prototyping quickly, validating ideas, and turning successful experiments into production-quality software
- Shipping products that have a direct impact on how major enterprises operate
Our stack:
- React, Vite, and TanStack on the frontend
- Kotlin on the backend, with the wider Java ecosystem
- Temporal for durable execution
- PortKey for enterprise-compliant LLM routing
- A specialised LLM harness designed around enterprise control, governance, and reliability
What we offer:
- Full-time, in-person role in London
- The opportunity to work on a genuinely AI-native product solving a major enterprise problem
- Significant ownership from day one in a small, talent-dense engineering team
- Direct exposure to enterprise customers and the opportunity to influence product direction
- A high-velocity, low-ego environment where engineers are expected to build, ship, and take responsibility for outcomes
- Visa sponsorship for exceptional candidates relocating to the UK
- Competitive compensation, share options, private health and dental, pension, wellbeing benefits, company meals, and regular team offsites
