Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Full-Time Night Porter to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face and guardian of our hotel during the overnight hours. Your primary focus will be ensuring guest safety, maintaining security protocols, and providing exceptional guest services with a lively and positive attitude. Multilingual and bilingual skills are highly valued to assist our diverse guest base effectively. 40 hours per week working 5 shifts, inclusive of weekends (22:30 - 07:00)
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with late check-ins using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Monitor security systems, CCTV cameras, and the hotel premises to ensure safety and security throughout the night
- Conduct regular patrols of public areas, entrances, and back-of-house spaces to deter theft or unauthorized access
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries or requests via phone or in person, providing friendly and helpful assistance
- Manage emergency situations calmly and efficiently, coordinating with local authorities if necessary
- Maintain accurate logs of all activities during the shift, including incidents or irregularities
- Support front desk operations by handling guest check-ins/check-outs when required during late hours
- Bar service
- Setting up and clearing conference rooms
- Checking guests in and out
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel operations or hospitality roles is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for guest service is essential
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage confidently with guests from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to remain alert, vigilant, and professional during overnight hours for extended periods
- Knowledge of security procedures, CCTV monitoring, and emergency response protocols is a plus
- Previous experience working in a multilingual environment or with international guests is advantageous
