Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper and other finishes to various surfaces ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects from residential to commercial properties, contributing to transforming rooms with colour and decoration. Applicants should be organised, reliable, and possess a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding or filling imperfections before painting or decorating
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers and other finishes using brushes, rollers or spray equipment
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and within specified deadlines
- Protect surrounding areas by covering floors and furniture during painting or decorating tasks
- Mix paints and colours accurately according to project requirements
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and report any repairs needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
Skills
- Proven experience in all painting and decorating techniques
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between sites efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Fluency in English is essential for understanding instructions and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to managing multiple projects
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical fitness to handle manual tasks such as lifting materials and working at heights.
- Must have own van/transport.
Pay: £13.50-£18.00 per hour
