Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial gas systems across various sites. This role requires technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work safely in a dynamic environment. Duties
- Install, service, and repair commercial gas appliances and systems in accordance with industry standards and manufactures instructions
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance and operational efficiency of gas equipment
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs and modifications
- Perform plumbing tasks related to gas systems, including pipe fitting and leak detection
- Undertake basic mathematical calculations for measurements, material quantities, and system specifications
- Drive company vehicles to various sites for scheduled maintenance or emergency repairs
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and report on system conditions or issues
Experience
- Proven experience as a Gas Engineer specialising in commercial installations and repairs
- Proficiency in plumbing, Heating, Gas, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Mechanical knowledge of gas systems, boilers, burners, and associated equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation or maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to technical work
- Previous experience in assembly work or mechanical fitting is advantageous
