Setting Out Engineer

AKN Engineering is site engineering and surveying firm based in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, supplying setting out, topographic survey, and as-built engineers to major civil engineering and construction contractors across the UK.
The Role
You'll be working on active construction and civil engineering sites carrying out setting out duties to support groundworks, piling, drainage, and structural packages. Assignments are across various locations nationwide, so flexibility to travel is essential.
What You'll Need
- Minimum 1 year's hands-on setting out experience on a live construction site
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential — sites are not always accessible by public transport)
- Confident working with total stations and GPS equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good communication skills and a reliable, professional approach on site
- Right to work in the UK
