Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft to ensure timely payments and accurate record-keeping
- Manage accounts payable functions by reviewing expense reports, coding transactions, and preparing payment batches
- Perform detailed data entry tasks to update financial records accurately across multiple platforms including Workday and other enterprise systems
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain strong vendor relationships
- Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing reports, verifying account balances, and supporting audit processes
- Support the finance team with general administrative duties related to financial documentation and record management
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while adhering to company policies and procedures
Experience
- Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounts payable processes and data entry accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with financial services industry practices is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail to ensure precise recordkeeping
- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems like Workday or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively within the finance team and with external vendors
