Friday: 3:00pm–4:30pm – Wingrave
Total Hours: 11.5 hours per week
Pay: Up to £14.00 per hour

About the Role
S4A is looking for an enthusiastic Activity Leader to join our Wraparound Care team, working across our Marsworth and Wingrave settings.
You’ll play an important role in creating a fun, active, and welcoming environment for primary school children after the school day.
From Monday to Wednesday, you’ll be based at Marsworth, where you will be responsible for running a small after-school provision independently. The setting has a small number of children, giving you the opportunity to build positive relationships with each child and create an engaging, welcoming environment.
On Thursday and Friday, you’ll work at our Wingrave setting, joining the wider team to support the delivery of our after-school provision.
We’re looking for someone who is confident working independently, enthusiastic, reliable, organised, and passionate about creating positive experiences for children.
Your Working Week
Monday–Wednesday | Marsworth | 3:00pm–5:30pm
You will independently run our small Marsworth after-school provision, taking responsibility for ensuring the children are safe, engaged and having fun throughout the afternoon.
Thursday | Wingrave | 3:00pm–5:30pm
You will work alongside the team at our Wingrave setting, supporting the delivery of activities and the smooth running of the club.
Friday | Wingrave | 3:00pm–4:30pm
You will support the Wingrave team with the Friday after-school provision.
Role Overview
As an Activity Leader, you will:
- Deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities for primary-aged children.
- Independently run the small Marsworth provision from Monday to Wednesday.
- Ensure children are appropriately supervised and safeguarded at all times.
- Encourage children to take part, build confidence and have fun.
- Create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Support the daily running of the Wingrave after-school club alongside the wider team.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues and school staff.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management procedures at all times.
- Complete required registers and follow S4A procedures.
- Set up and tidy away equipment and activity spaces before and after sessions.
