Duties
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their event goals, preferences, and budgets, providing expert guidance throughout the planning process
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of weddings and events, including venue setup, catering arrangements, entertainment, décor, and technical requirements
- Manage vendor relationships by sourcing reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely deliveries to meet event timelines
- Oversee on-site event execution, supervising staff and vendors to guarantee smooth operations from start to finish
- Upsell additional services or upgrades to enhance client satisfaction and maximize revenue opportunities
- Develop detailed event timelines and checklists to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing attendee needs promptly and professionally during events
Experience
- Proven experience in event planning or coordination within the hospitality industry, such as hotels or restaurants
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, team members, and guests effectively
- Demonstrated ability in time management to meet tight deadlines and handle last-minute adjustments confidently
- Experience in fundraising or guest services is a plus, showcasing your ability to engage with diverse audiences and enhance guest experiences
- Familiarity with hospitality operations or restaurant environments enhances understanding of service standards and guest expectations
