Our dedicated teams deliver expert medical care, forensic examinations and compassionate support to individuals who have experienced sexual assault or abuse, ensuring dignity, safety and the highest standards of care.
We are looking for a detail-driven, organised and compassionate individual to join our Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) as an Adult & Paediatric Administrator / Crisis Worker. This is primarily an administrative role, keeping our service running smoothly behind the scenes while also providing vital support to patients and families during sensitive moments. You will handle records, coordinate appointments, manage calls and liaise with partner agencies, all while protecting confidentiality and demonstrating empathy. You will also be trained to assist during patient visits, helping them feel informed, reassured and supported.
- Manage patient records and administrative processes in line with data protection and safeguarding standards
- Handle incoming calls, emails and referrals with professionalism and empathy
- Coordinate appointments and liaise with police, medical staff and partner agencies
- Order and manage stock and equipment to ensure smooth service delivery
- Support ISO 15189 and UKAS accreditation processes through accurate record keeping
- Provide a welcoming environment for patients and families, assisting clinicians during examinations when required
You will join a supportive, highly skilled team where no two days are the same. We offer full training including safeguarding, basic life support and specialist forensic awareness, plus ongoing development opportunities.
This is a 24/7 service with on-call responsibilities requiring arrival at the SARC or designated site within agreed timeframes.

Bank - Zero Hours
Retainer rates are £30.56 (per 8 hour shift) from 09:00 Monday through to 08:59 Saturday and £40.24 from 09:00 Saturday through to 08:59 Monday.
The attendance payment is £15.85 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours per case.
The SARC is open 365 days a year 24 hours a day and is covered using Three x 8 hour shifts, 9am-5pm, 5pm-1am and 1am-9am.

Essential
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or equivalent
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in an administrative role
- Knowledge of the health, police or public sector environment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a multi-agency setting
- Good interpersonal skills
- IT literate with experience using Word, Excel and Teams
- Understanding of safeguarding
