Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team driving Holcim vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating tipper lorries to deliver goods across various locations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 tipper lorries in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Load and secure cargo effectively, ensuring the safety of goods during transit
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedules
- Conduct vehicle checks before and after each shift, reporting any defects or issues promptly
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, ensuring a professional approach at all times
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines throughout daily operations
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with relevant driving experience preferably 1 year and more.
- Valid MP Connect membership
- Commercial driving licence (CPC)
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to organise routes efficiently and work independently
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
