You will deliver appliances to small trade businesses and will provide a delivery and installation service to consumers’ homes providing excellent customer service at every step.
As a Home Distribution Porter you will be responsible for;
● Providing a prompt, courteous and efficient delivery service of our appliances.
● Providing home delivery customers with a courteous and professional appliance installation service (both wet and electrical connections), whilst understanding and adhering to health and safety principles.
● Providing accurate completion and submission of relevant delivery paperwork.
● Demonstrating good geographical knowledge and map-reading skills.
● Demonstrating a flexible approach to working hours to meet customer requirements.
● Ensuring that the vehicle is kept clean and tidy in line with health and safety and customer service principles.
Requirements:
Knowledge
● A good geographical knowledge of the UK.
Skills
● Excellent customer care skills.
● Basic DIY skills.
● Ability to work on own initiative.
● Ability to plan working day to achieve customer needs.
● Map reading skills.
Experience
● Multi-drop background in a customer facing industry preferred.
Other Requirements
● Of clean and tidy appearance.
● Willing to undertake training in wet connections and electrical connections.
● A flexible approach to working hours.
● Possess good physical fitness due to manual handling requirements.
