Build a Career You'll Be Proud Of
Looking for a foot health career where you can thrive?
Footworks Podiatry is an established, expanding practice located in the heart of the beautiful market town of Totnes, South Devon. Situated on the High Street, we're surrounded by independent cafés, boutiques and a thriving local community. Step outside at lunchtime for great coffee or a stroll along the River Dart, while some of the UK's most spectacular coastline, beaches and Dartmoor National Park are all within easy reach.
But what really makes Footworks different isn't just our location — it's how we work.
At Footworks, we believe foot health practitioners deserve time to think, time to learn and time to deliver exceptional care. We don't believe in rushing appointments or simply getting through the day. We invest in our people so they can build rewarding, long-term careers while delivering outstanding care for every patient.
We're building something special — a centre of excellence for podiatry and lower limb care in the Southwest — and we're looking for someone who is excited to help shape that future with us.
Why Our Team Love Working at Footworks
We've created a supportive, forward-thinking environment where practitioners are encouraged to grow professionally and enjoy coming to work every day.
Our clinic has earned an excellent reputation and is trusted by patients across South Devon because we put quality before quantity and genuinely care about the people we treat.
We also believe exceptional patient care starts with looking after our team. That means you'll enjoy:
- Appointment times that give you the space to do your very best work
- A beautifully designed, fully equipped clinic, with a modern move to our larger premises giving us the space to keep introducing new treatment options
- A varied and rewarding caseload, including clinic-based and some domiciliary (home-visit) care
- Protected administration time built into every working day
- Full-time admin support and paid admin breaks
- Protected lunch breaks
- No weekend working
- A friendly, collaborative team who enjoy working together
- Regular clinical meetings where we openly discuss cases, share ideas and learn from one another
- An induction programme covering all in-house systems and procedures, to help you settle in and succeed from day one
- Ongoing support and mentoring from experienced colleagues, including our team of podiatrists
You'll work alongside a team who enjoy teaching and discussing cases. Regular case reviews and clinical development are part of everyday life.
We celebrate successes together, support one another when cases are challenging and genuinely enjoy learning from each other. You'll never feel like you're working on your own.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll enjoy a varied, mainly clinic-based caseload with some domiciliary care, including:
- Routine foot care — nail care, and management of corns, calluses and thickened or fungal nails
- Medipedi treatments - clinical-grade medical pedicure that combines podiatry care with luxury skincare from Callen Olive range
- Foot health assessment and care for patients with diabetes and other higher-risk conditions, working within your scope and referring on to our podiatry team where more advanced input is needed
- Domiciliary visits for patients unable to attend clinic
- Close teamwork with our podiatry team, who provide nail surgery, Swift® Microwave therapy, Podylas® laser therapy, Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), biomechanical and gait assessment, and bespoke orthotic prescription — so your patients always have a clear pathway to further treatment when they need it
Whether you're newly qualified or already have years of experience, we'll support you to continue developing your confidence and skills, and to grow your scope of practice over time.
