Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Labourer/Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently while assisting with warehouse tasks. This role requires a professional attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. Previous delivery driver experience and commercial driving qualifications are highly desirable.
Duties
- Safely operate company van to deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy or bulky products
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and according to schedule
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and work area
- Assist with warehouse organisation, stock management, and general duties as required
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Follow all health and safety regulations during driving and warehouse activities
Requirements
- Proven delivery driver experience, ideally within a commercial setting
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or similar environments is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Good organisational skills with an organised approach to tasks
- Physical fitness to handle demanding manual tasks throughout the day
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Pay: £16.00-£17.00 per hour
