Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines, with Fanuc controls, to produce precision components. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in machining processes. Candidates should possess a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Set up, programme, and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. Using Fanuc control.
- Working confidently from drawings to determine machining method and approach.
- Can handle more complex jobs, materials, and tighter tolerances.
- Resolving problems independently during setup and production
- Actively seeking to maximise productivity, including running multiple machines where appropriate.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and takes initiative when unsupervised.
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce cycle time and cost.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC turning centres in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with Fanuc EZ Guide and or FAPT.
- 5+ years working in a sub-contract engineering background

Pay: £20.18-£20.90 per hour
