We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration Assistant to join our Industrial Disease / Deafness (NIHL) team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who is looking to develop their career within a fast-paced legal environment.
You will provide essential administrative support to fee earners handling industrial disease and deafness claims, helping to ensure cases are progressed efficiently, accurately and in line with required deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Open, maintain and close legal files in line with internal procedures.
- Accurately update and maintain case management systems.
- Prepare, format and send correspondence and legal documentation.
- Request and chase medical records, GP notes, audiology reports and employment records.
- Assist with collation of evidence relating to noise exposure and hearing loss claims.
- Manage incoming and outgoing post, emails and telephone queries.
- Maintain diary systems, including limitation dates, appointments and key deadlines.
- Liaise professionally with clients, employers, medical experts, counsel and third parties.
- Ensure all files are compliant, up to date and accurately maintained.
- Provide general administrative support to fee earners to assist with case progression.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism at all times.
Skills & Experience Essential
- Previous administrative experience in a professional office environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
- Professional, reliable and proactive approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Previous experience within a legal environment (particularly personal injury or industrial disease).
- Familiarity with legal case management systems.
- Understanding of clinical or medical evidence processes.
Pay: From £23,500.00 per year
