Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Employment Law Solicitor to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice and representation on employment law matters, ensuring compliance with current legislation and safeguarding our organisation’s interests. Duties
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on all aspects of employment law, including contracts, disputes, disciplinary procedures, and redundancy processes.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and related documentation to ensure legal compliance and organisational clarity.
- Represent clients in employment tribunal proceedings, mediations, and negotiations to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Assist in resolving employment disputes through negotiation and alternative dispute resolution methods.
- Keep abreast of legislative changes affecting employment law and advise the organisation accordingly.
- Collaborate with HR teams to develop best practices for employment relations and compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal use or client cases as required.
- Support training sessions or workshops on employment law topics for staff or clients.
Experience
- Qualified solicitor specialising in employment law with a minimum of [5] years’ experience in a recognised legal practice or corporate environment.
- Proven track record of handling employment tribunal cases and negotiations successfully.
- Strong understanding of current UK employment legislation and case law.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes effectively.
- Demonstrable experience in drafting legal documents related to employment matters.
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Exceptional organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
